One To Oneness Over Hannover…
IDES OF GEMINI
Photo Essay

Text and Photos by Jan Zeleny

If you’re keeping up with Neurot releases and/or CVLT Nation’s very own and consistently amazing Sonic Cathedrals mix series, you should already be familiar with the truly epic Ides of Gemini. If you’re not, kill yourself. Seriously. I’m not joking. Kill yourself right now. Or wait, maybe you could still make up for your unfathomable ignorance by going out to see them play in your city! Which you should actually do in any case, because Sera, J. and Kelly are not only an incredible live band, but also extremely nice folks. Check out the tour dates & a couple of photos I got to take recently after the jump!

The show in Hannover started out kind of awkward to say the least; When I turned up around 9:30 pm, I was the first one to arrive at a completely deserted venue. Within the next hour, about nine other people showed up. J. just shrugged it off like the bearded trooper of doom that he is – “Ah, whaddaya gonna do?” – and referred to the gig as “band practice.” However, as the small group in attendance was obviously really there for the music, the band seemed very relaxed and comfortable during their performance. And then it even turned out to be J.’s birthday, so I guess the rather cozy atmosphere wasn’t even that unwelcome (plus I got to run around and take pictures like crazy without being a fucking nuisance at what turned out to be an awesome show & extremely enjoyable evening after all)!

Have a look, and if Ides of Gemini are coming to enchant a city near you, go support them & enjoy the pics…
