OFF! What a a fucking rad band, with a killer 7″ inch via Southern Lord – 3 minutes of real school punk all in your face! The dudes in this band have been rocking my world for decades, & guess what…it seems they are going to rock it for a couple more decades. So who the hell is in this band? Let me tell you: Circle Jerks/Black Flag singer Keith Morris, Burning Brides frontman Dimitri Coats, Redd Kross bassist Steven Shane McDonald, and Rocket From The Crypt/Hot Snakes drummer Mario Rubalcaba. Do not get it twisted, this is no super group – these are homies coming together to create some gnarly tunes. On the song “Rotten Apple,” Keith kills on the lyrical tip speaking out for human justice from an outsider perspective. This song is hard-hitting, but still has a rad angst-ridden groove to it that can be slept on. “Compared to What” is a punk fucking anthem sticking it to the MAN. OFF! does not make three minute pop tunes full of fluff, they bang out one & half minute real songs about life…can you dig it!
