On January 4th of this year, our minds received the huge shock that only a NEUROSIS gig could induce. The event took place at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, with Ides of Gemini and Savage Republic opening. Both opening bands were totally on point and left us wanting to hear more. Ides of Gemini filled the theatre with their haunting sound, and reminded us why we love this trio! I saw Savage Republic a couple of times in the early 80’s, but this night they were way beyond anything I remembered – they fucking took my breath away! Next up was NEUROSIS, who did not disappoint at all. Hearing them perform songs from their newest album, Honor Found In Decay, made them even more a part of my existence. The energy in the room was focused on the transcendental feeling that we were all experiencing from the mammoth sound called NEUROSIS. Our comrade in photography Adam Murray was on hand to capture this majestic night in photos. So after the jump, check out his photo essay plus live footage from NEUROSIS’ most recent New York show shot by (((unartig)))!
