Music means different things to different people. For me, music has played a major role in my existence on this planet, and there have been times when it has helped to keep me on this planet! One band that helped me out of really fucking dark period in my life was Modest Mouse. I can’t put my finger on it; maybe it’s the guitar tones, the lyrics, or maybe just the total package. Whatever the case, they were the soundtrack for me finding my happy place. The other day, I watched an awesome documentary called The Lonesome Crowded West that Pitchfork Media made about the making of the Modest Mouse album The Lonesome Crowded West. I’ve watched it once, but I’m sure I will watch it again. This is a well-made film – I really dig the interviews and all of the archive footage. So let’s all do the cockroach and peep this epic documentary after the jump.
