“We need to PRIVATIZE Social Security” is one of the many mantras uttered by the diabolical scums that are the Koch Brothers. While going about their daily lives, the Koch Brothers and Koch Industries have managed to take an epic conservative shit on the livelihood of millions throughout the world. All of this is done under the veil of the oh-so-just system of American Free Market Capitalism. The documentary Koch Brothers Exposed, released in 2011 by Robert Greenwald, outlines the various ways that the Koch Brothers, through a myriad of avenues like the Koch Foundation and Americans for Prosperity, have managed to dismantle democracy piece by piece in order to purchase the ideal government for their conservative agenda. For instance, each year millions of universities across the country benefit from funds donated by the Koch Foundation to support “educational programs.” The dementedly selfish needs of the Koch Brothers are further supported through these donations, which come with qualifiers that ensure that their ideals penetrate the minds of the college students, whether they attend a large public university or a private liberal arts college. As a liberal arts student in NYC, I couldn’t stop myself from hoping that my college stayed far from those wretched men. This however isn’t the case. My college, like many other of the top higher education institutions in the United States, has accepted donations from the Koch brothers. Unless they are stopped, the Koch brothers will continue to run this country, our minds and our lives. I highly recommend watching Koch Brothers Exposed as a way to better understand the ways that the evil Koch brothers have recently managed to suffocate true democracy for their own personal gain.
