It’s become increasingly clear to me as the grey days persist that I no longer live in Southern California. Summer is over, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need a fly bathing suit for my winter hot tubbing. Enter MINNOW BATHERS, who create sick swimwear for metal loving girls. Although they are based in tropical Toronto, Karen Donaldson and Vanessa Warrack create some of the most awesome bathing attire I’ve come across. Their newest collection is called “Heavy Metal Parking Lot,” and draws inspiration from the documentary and the era, that 1986 mesh-and-leather metal chick that kicks ass and looks good while doing it. These bathing suits inspire me to tease the shit out of my hair and head bang until it’s flat again! The suits are all made in Canada and have rad names like Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, Priest, Eddie and Lemmy. Their new collection launches on their web shop today, so stock up for those drunk, steamy hot tub nights this winter – or to be the hottest MILF at the community pool during mom and tot swim, which is what I’m going for. Check their suits out below – and know that $2 from each sale is donated to the Save Our Seas Foundation to protect the oceans we love to frolic in.
