For the longest time I have looked for the beauty in decay. One thing that that has always fascinated me is how radical a human skull looks. They have been used as religious relics or tools of inspiration for art since the beginning of time. For some people, they represent what is ugly in this world, and for others they are a source of light. I know for many underground subcultures, skulls are used as a major source of iconography. They have even become a part of fashion on so many different levels. Personally, I really dig it when these objects are used in art but paired with something from the other spectrum of reality. We all are walking this planet now, but one day our bones will return to the earth. So today CVLT Nation would like to celebrate death by exalting human skulls of all kinds with a living photo gallery after the jump!
