One band that has proven that the sound of doom is alive is Portland’s Atriarch. Their to 2011 release, Forever the End, via Seventh Rule, is by far one of my favorite records that came out this year. It’s 36 minutes of blackened gothic doom dirge that causes my nightmares to fade away. I do have a dream that has not come true, and that is to see Atriarch live. For many on the West Coast, this week you will be in luck the band starts a mini tour today! Check this ultra rad tour poster illustrated by Bryan Proteau, and some killer live footage below. After the jump, peep the tour dates and another surprise.
