Dust to Dust

French brand Sixpack teamed up with a renowned French design studio, DIY, to create a capsule collection of t-shirts for their Dust to Dust SS11 season that I wish I had thought of. DIY created the graphics using photos of the Icelandic volcano eruption, which was definitely one of the most epic events of my lifetime. I spent hours looking at those photos, fascinated by the darkness of the smoke and clouds, with the occasional burst of electric lightning adding to their menace. DIY describes the graphics as their versions of Rorschach tests, and I have to admit the first one does look like either a Mexican wrestler or Satan rising out of hell. That’s just me. What does it mean??
