Divine Intervention…
BARREN WASTE Review

Who are these fuckers out of the looney house? Barren Waste is just straight freaking bonkers without any apologies & that’s why I dig them so much. They are not strange for the sake of being strange, I think they were just born that way. Many of their songs on their album Divine Intervention follow a formula, meaning that there is no formula, just chaos with a sick groove. The riff of on “DOMINANT HAND” grabs every braincell you have & just will not let go, plus this song will make you smile in a demented sort of way. This band is just so fucking punk rock, because they do not give a damn & they sound like they are having a great time. Barren Waste creates mayhem metal, which comes with many weird twists & turns that will keep you guessing! Songs like “LAST GASP” will make you see why these dudes are so rad: they have this emotive breakdown in the middle that sounds like a beautiful day before it’s about to get flushed in the toilet! Barren Waste have a great sense of humor, but they also bring the heavy & put it all up in your grill. The vocals on this record sound like attack of the punk rock zombies on crack. To make music like these dudes, you have to be killer musicians & I totally can hear how rad these guys can play their instruments. Not all bands want to fit into a genre, some just want to create music for all of the fucked up children of the world, & Barren Waste does a great job at that…download their record HERE!
