I have this raging storm of metallic rawness on repeat – fuck I wish it was more than 7 minutes! Belgium’s Rise and Fall have released a new rad 7 inch, Deceiver, via Deathwish inc. The title track is two minutes of pure gnarly fury that takes your braincells on a ride into a tornado of electric chaos. It’s the kind of song that will have you pressing the repeat button and saying to yourself, when is their new album coming out? Rise and Fall can fucking stand tall, because they killed it with ‘Deceiver’ is written, because with all of the aggro tension that occurs in this song, the band still provides the listener with a killer groove. Then you have the second track, ‘Sinking In Sin,’ which starts off with an almost Americana riffage, soaked in righteous emotion. This only the beginning – Rise and Fall pulls you in with the intro, then they bang you over the skull with speed and epic vocals. Actually, this composition feels like two songs in one because of all of the stellar changes. Fuck that, Rise and Fall didn’t write two songs, they released two huge fucking ANTHEMS that will stand the test of time. Word on the street is that CVLT Nation has something special cooking with Rise and Fall/Oathbreaker – so stay tuned! Check out some gnarly hi-def live footage after the jump!
