The Dead Kennedys turned a whole generation on to what was really going on during the early 80’s. The thing about this band is that they were the full package. The DK’s had a message that resonated with what we were dealing with at the time, from the fear of nuclear war to the over-commercialism of everything around us. They also had one of the best logos in hardcore, plus all of their album covers made a statement that would make us think. The human behind their artistic vision was Winston Smith , and he was and still is a wizard with the collage medium. Vice TV sat down with him and spoke to him about his inspiration behind the work he created for the Dead Kennedys. Today, CVLT Nation would like to share this discussion with you…it all goes down below!
