What happened in 1984 when Peace Punks and Death Rockers united in style and music? The world became a darker place, but for those that were a part of the scene it was fucking happy daze. During the summer of ’84 in the Bay Area, the ghouls walked hand and hand with the metal heads and anarchists. Out of this, I remember some of my favorite music being made, plus some of the sickest style was born. The impact of this era can still be felt today. This is why NOW THIS IS GOTHIC (The Photographic Evidence Of 80’s Post-Punk Project) is our favorite tumblr of the week. This a place you can lose yourself in for hours and just trip out on how these 80’s humans made their statement to the world. After the jump, check out an insane photo gallery that is a great example of subcultures uniting!
