King Dude is the man right now. His just-released album Burning Daylight via Dais Records is critically acclaimed, and for good reason! On of my favorite songs on the record “I’m Cold” now has a stellar video to go with it. The video was directed by Justin Oakey & Amanda Row of Burial Offerings, and they worked their magic as usual. CVLT Nation is ultra stoked to be premiering the new KING DUDE visual for “I’m Cold” after the jump, and before I forget, make sure to check out the Dude’s new merch store!…Also read about Justin Oakey & Amanda Row’s inspiration below…
Upon first listening to the track, we decided the video had to be a collage, of sorts. A gritty, layered, hallucinatory two minutes that spins Cowgill’s subversive lyrics into our own subversive imagery.

I love people who choose to judge music without giving it an actual listen. But with that being said, this genre of music isn’t for everyone. It never has been, and that’s fine. I personally enjoy his blend of garage punk (a la Reverend Beat-Man) and neofolk (such as with Of The Wand & The Moon). Makes for a unique and enjoyable listening experience for those who are longtime fans of such genres…

his name is king dude… is this a joke? i dont see anything behind this “dude” except for he likes to rip off imagery for its aesthetic. ive never listened to his music but i hear its a bit like theme music to some shitty HBO series.
