Something I’m really not sorry for : introducing you toCap Lori. The project started by Tennessee Rose is anything but boring. ‘Avant Geek’ brings a style in music that is not so common to most of the people out there. No borders, no genres, no boundries. And you know what ? That’s awesome. The very unique style makes ‘Avant Geek’ – and Cap Lori in general – a real experience. Well, more of a surreal experience to be honest. The songs are something I like to describe as ‘hauntingly beautiful’ and that is the best way i can put it.

My favorite off of ‘Avant Geek’ :

‘Wings of Desire’ is the first song of the album and it enbodies the LP as a whole. The distorted guitars and the vocals which are full of reverb remind me of Chelsea Wolfe. And if your music reminds someone of Chelsea Wolfe, that is a fucking compliment.

Comparing these two would be impossible though. As Madame Wolfe is dark through and through, Cap Lori is not dark at all. Shiny, colourful and kind of crazy. Well, not kind of crazy. Rather fucking crazy. That describes it a bit better.

Of course the album is something very special – it’s not made for everyone. Nevertheless is it an album which everyone should listen to. After listening to it you can say ‘I love it!’ or you can say ‘What the actual fuck was that?’ but seriously . Listen to it. Believe me, it’s worth at least a listen.

I’m a fan of Cap Lori.
