Extreme Pain and Pleasure
Body Suspension

No judgement, but the body modification practice that causes me the most physical discomfort and unwellness is body suspension. It’s something I find difficult to watch and actually nauseating. The sight of flesh and skin being pulled away from their cozy proximity to muscle and bone is terrifying for me. So of course when I saw this article from Bizarre Mag about SwingShift SideShow performers Andrew S and Kelvikta ‘The Blade’ Tera and their feats of suspension, of course I had to share with with you! Andrew S is actually suspended by hooks in his FACE. His face. The Blade hangs herself along the length of her body. They also perform deep tissue skewering, aka pushing a metal skewer through your body parts, as well as “The Spear of Destiny,” where Andrew S actually spins his entire body, bare flesh exposed, on the tip of a spear pressed into his torso. And then there is some shit he does with his eye sockets that I can’t even comment on because I refuse to watch it. I can’t stand anything to do with eyes being poked, popped out or skewered!!! These two have been studied by physicists and medical professionals because of the extreme nature of their acts. This shit is fucking wild. Check out some videos and photos below!
