Blood & Rope…Portraits of 1960’s – 70’s Wrestling

Growing up the 70’s, especially when I lived in the South, most kids had a crazy love for wrestling. This was before the WWF, and this sport was played and promoted by the die hards. There was something so underground about the wrestlers back then that I was a fucking fiend for it! When I look into the faces of these wrestlers now, you can see they were on a mission to kick ass and do something they loved for the passion of it! My favorite wrestler of all time was the American Dream, Dusty motherfucking Rhodes, but I also dug too many others to name. Check out this HUGE gallery of wrestlers from 60’s and 70’s!

I seriously thought this was a picture of GG Allin in the middle of a fight during his pre-shit flinging and stick-‘n’-poke tattoo days before I read the headline.
