Artist to Artist Interviews…
SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP vs STARKWEATHER

Brian Thomas interviews Rennie Resmini

What from Starkweather’s back catalog means the most to you and why?

Nothing. What lies ahead is most important.

Pantera?

Exhorder.

Doing underground music in 2011 versus 1991? What’s better, what’s worse?

One improvement is the speed in which music spreads. Although this is a double-edged sword. Things are a far cry from 80s/90s mix tapes. Now you can find yourself in a deeper hole with recording costs as there’s no way to recover from downloading. Such is life.

Road story, get with one.

An Amebix moment in France where we and Amen Ra did a show where people had to converge on a rail-station and then caravan to a remote countryside spot. Very cool, diy, generator powered show in the middle of nowhere. Or so we thought until the police shut it down. Which is bound to happen playing on top of hill that’s surrounded by threshed field for as far as the eye can see.

What bands are you stoked on seeing at the A389 Anniversary show?

Young and in the Way.
