I got an ultra cool message today that I must share with the world: it’s official, ANTISECT has reunited! This is one of those bands that I hold in the highest regard, they helped to mold my personal beliefs in the early 80’s. I was listening to In Darkness There is No Choice, thinking, wow, this record is super killer, nothing about it seems dated, if anything, they were ahead of their time. This is one of those reunions that seems real because everything ANTISECT stands for is still relevant today, maybe even more so than in the 80’s. The UK’s Southern records will be re-releasing In Darkness There is No Choice and ANTISECT will be recording a new 10 inch which will be on sale at their upcoming gigs. They just performed at Finland’s Puntala-Rock Festival, where it looks like they rocked and shocked the country. In celebration of this radical news, we put together a video essay consisting of recent and vintage ANTISECT footage. The word on the street is that they should be killing shit in the USA in 2012, but in the meantime peep their European tour dates after the jump. And below, read how the band feels about the reunion!
“24 years later, the world is a slightly different place. 24 years later, we are all slightly different people.
24 years later, we find that for the most part, a lot of the same problems and injustices are still with us. 24 years later, we find that for the most part, we still feel very similar about them.
24 years ago, we had lived through the first part of our adult lives. 24 years later, we’ve grown up, (a little) and have to deal with responsibilities and situations that simply didn’t exist for us back then.
There are no hard and fast rules
We make it up as we go along”

I saw them in Oslo last week. Old stuff and new stuff and some stuff I never heard before. They don’t sound like anybody else.
It was fucking raging.
