Darkness is falling. The stage is covered with animal remains, bones and cremated skeleton forms. The repugnant odor of raw filthiness lingering in the air waiting to diminish every inch of human senses. This is just the beginning of a merciless onslaught. Formula is simple: slay all. Three beasts are behind the plan of this ruthless black/death ritual. Enter Indiscriminate Impregnator, Nocturnal Hellfukker and Sadoseducer. They are Weregoat. Recently Dark Descent has released CD version of Weregoat’s mLP Unholy Exaltation of Fullmoon Perversity which was originally released on Parasitic Records last year. Eight tracks of raw blackened death worship unleashed to raise hell in ugliest form. The stinging incitements of a bestial lust ordering highest form of obscene malevolence. It wasn’t easy to track down Weregoat for conducting an interview. After some long weeks of hefty schedules and rituals, Nocturnal Hellfukker finally decided to throw some insight on the band.
The current members of Weregoat are involved with several other projects such as Aldebaran, Ritual Necromancy etc. How did Weregoat form?
September 2009, during one of our nightly blackout rites of Fullmoon Perversity, we were summoned to unleash something chaotic, heavy, and most of all obscene. Portland in recent years has been over run with emo kids with patched vests, bullet belts, and shitty “black metal” bands.. In our state of drunken spirit possession, we took it upon ourselves to be the proverbial cock in the ass of Portland’s “metal” scene. Hence, Weregoat was born.
Weregoat plays some furious bestial black/death metal but the overall sound has a whole lot other dimensions to it as well. How would you like to describe Weregoat?
We were born maniacs, weaned on the tit of metal, so there’s tons of influences there. Everything from the obvious Beherit/ Blasphemy worship, to Reek of Putrefaction era Carcass, to classics like Carnivore, The Mentors and W.A.S.P., it’s all there.. Did I mention we’re sleazy fukks??

As far as black/death metal is concerned, we get to see a lot of quality releases from countries like Poland or Canada. Why it’s lacking in USA?
Maybe because almost everyone in the states can’t turn off the television for five seconds. People can’t think for themselves here, the TV does it for them.. “Go to Starbucks, go to McDonald’s, go to WalMart..” They’re like zombies hungry to buy shit instead of eat brains..
I don’t know if that answers your question. People here are into dumb shit. Whatever, Dark Descent will have our shit at Best Buy… We’ll be millionaires!
The mLP Unholy Exaltation Of Fullmoon Perversity has been received by the underground following quite well. Did you expect it?
Ha, no! We really had no expectations. We never thought anyone would give a fuck, or even hear us.. The whole reason we started Weregoat was to piss people off, so I guess we’ll have to try harder!
It was originally released by Parasitic Records and now a cd version is available on Dark Descent Records. How did the plans come forward?
Parasitic Records is the Sadoseducer’s label, so that was easy. As far as Dark Descent goes, they did the Ritual Necromancy disc, so we asked if we could sleaze up his roster a bit with Weregoat. He was more than willing!
On which format that you think Weregoat sounds best?
So far I like the vinyl sound. All the pops and cracks make everything sound ancient, plus you get the large version of the art, insert and lusty lyrics haha.
Throughout the history there have been always the case of TRIOS who truly force forward with talented stuffs. So what’s in the TRIOS? Is it the bonding and less people to fuck up things?
Threesome are more intimate for sure, the Satanic Trinity! Like you said, there is less bullshit and fewer people to fuck shit up with crappy ideas, or inferior musicianship etc.. Weregoat is a three piece for those exact reasons. Plus, we’re the only ones retarded enough to wear 20 pounds of rusty nails and cover ourselves with rotten shit!
The album cover of Unholy Exaltation Of Fullmoon Perversity has got this cinematic climax to it which I believe was done by Putrid. Can you give us some insight on it?
Putrid did our cover and logo, both of which we think are quite beautiful.. Putrid is a fucking MANIAC. We hung out with him at the last Rites of Darkness festival. He’s the most energetic motherfucker I’ve ever met! Fucking killer artist. Fucking killer dude.
The lyrical contents drip filth in every way imaginable. Who writes the lyrics and what are the main themes?
Ah, thank you! Both Sadoseducer and I, Nocturnal Hellfukker, create the invocations of bestial lust and hate. Indiscriminate Impregnator vomits most of them out..
Most of the themes involve ritual beastiality, mass murder and sexual witchcraft. Some song titles are Nuclear Cunt, Antichrist Kommand and Nocturnal Hunt (for Cunt). They speak for themselves!
Weregoat has been featured on the movie “Trannysnatchers”. Can you tell us a bit about this?
Heh heh yes, well… A co-worker was making a horror movie and approached me looking for some “evil” music, so I gave him the Weregoat disc. I forgot all about it, I just recently saw the trailer. Of course it’s called Trannysnatchers, how appropriate! I’m glad we can make this movie gayer than it was before haha!
Weregoat is known for putting out brutal shows. How do you guys prepare for the live ritual?
Our ritual preparations involve much booze and other mind altering substances. It’s very important to be a bit pissed before even touching our instruments whether we’re writing, recording or playing live. Our live shows have been pretty intense so far, lots of blood, bones, and rotten parts.. We believe the visual should match, or exceed the filth we vomit forth. Drugs, alcohol and corpse huffing are a very important part in all of this!
I believe there is an EP Slave Bitch Of The Black Ram Master soon to be coming out. How are the things shaping up? Did you guys finish writing and recording? What the fans can expect from this record?
The Slave Bitch ep is almost finished, doing the final mixes currently. We recorded at the Ship, the same place we did the Fullmoon Perversity record. It sounds fucking nasty! We did some things differently, it sounds twice as massive as the Perversity stuff..
The art will be molested by the master Dennis Dread, and will be released by Iron Bonehead.
Expect TOTAL FUCKING BESTIAL MALEVOLENCE!!

Can you tell us about the split with Diocletian entitled Disciples Of War which is coming out on Parasitic Records?
This is almost finished as well. The tracks are fucking devastating, well Diocletian’s are anyway haha! This is the most violent Weregoat recording yet. Both releases will be mastered by the inhuman V.K. TOTAL SLAUGHTER. The cover by D. Desecrator is amazing. One of the pieces I’ve ever seen, very appropriate for this release.
