These Oakland California natives play up-tempo yet dark post punk with a focus on the punk aspect of the Genre; sounding more like late 80’s new wave/post punk acts along the lines of For Against and Zero Point only much darker and heavier. The New flesh remind us that this new wave of post punk acts don’t all have to come from the same through line and that there are many influences that this genre revival hasn’t yet mined.
Most of the Post-punk bands I’ve seen as of late have been exceptionally good live; I guess it has to do wit the technicality inherent in the genre and The New Flesh are no exception.
I’m just disapointed I was on my last dollar so I couldn’t get me their new Lp Reality.
