Can you feel it? Can you feel it? Can you feel it? The Power Of the Riff – this mighty festival will be wrecking shit up & down the West Coast this summer. Southern Lord has done it again & has put together a a killer line up of bands for shows in L.A, San Francisco & Seattle, but what makes it even better is that the line up changes as the festival moves from city to city. One thing that makes The Power Of the Riff extra rad is that its a heavy music festival curated by people who actually create heavy music, so they bring an awesome outlook on the bands that they choose for the line-up. I’m going to the Los Angeles show on August 13th for sure – here are the bands that they have announced so far for LA: Pentagram, Winter, Pelican, Trap Them, Masakari, Alpinist, Acephalix and All Pigs Must Die. CVLT Nation will document this event for all of you to see. To find out the lineups in San Francisco on Aug. 15th & 16th, and in Seattle on Aug. 18th, go to The Power Of the Riff site. On a personal level, I have to let you know the festival is way more than just about music for me. Last year my wife & I went, and I must say the energy was so positive, it just added to the whole atmosphere & I’m sure this year will be same, PMA all the way. In fact, it was our rad experience at The Power of the Riff that got us on the path to creating CVLT Nation. I’ve put together a video essay of some of the bands that will be performing this year so you can get a taste of what you are in store for. So after the jump, check out some LOUD & LIVE video footage.
