The Cold Testament…
BOOK of BLACK EARTH
Review + More

The sky is pitch black as blazing hot flames begin to fall to earth, & the hordes of the underworld gather as they prepare for battle. The blind masses are about to witness their moment of reckoning at the hands of Book Of Black Earth. This Seattle band’s new album, The Cold Testament, out now via Prosthetic Records, is a true declaration of war against the meek lambs of the world. From the moment that the song “Weight of the World” kicks in, you realize you are in for some next level shit. The production on this album is huge, but still retains a pungent stench groove throughout the album which leaves cracks in your skull! “Cross Contamination” starts off with a murder riff before the vocals grab you & put you into a headlock – but it’s the homicidal drums that bring the death blow. Book Of Black Earth’s sound is super-charged blackened lighting that strikes every part of your existence. They have breakdowns on The Cold Testament that throw you off never-ending cliffs, only to snatch you back before you meet your end. This band defies genres; just know if you like your music full of demonic fury with lakes of blackened emotion, this album will not disappoint you. Something you can’t deny about this album is the level of damaged passion on each track; Book of Black Earth is in attack mode on this album. After the jump, check out a video of Book Of Black Earth ripping shit!
