CAT POWER Speaking For Trees: A Film by Mark Borthwick is a powerful and beautiful performance piece featuring Chan Marshall doing her thing solo in the woods. I have seen CAT POWER perform many times, and I must say this is one of my favorite of all because she seems so comfortable in nature. Hearing the crickets in the background adds good vibes to this moving film. Speaking For Trees is two hours long and packed with many tunes that have made me feel better when life has been dark. Chan does’t scream or yell, but something is always heavy about her delivery. Let’s all look up to the sun and peep CAT POWER after the jump!
