CVLT Nation is ultra-hyped to release Sonic Cathedrals Vol. LXVIII Curated by PALLBEARER. This is Part I of their mixtape, with all of the tunes being selected by their bass player JR. Just to let you know, this is an audio gift – he focused on one awesome band, Popol Vuh, and created an epic musical journey through their catalog! Read what JR has to say about his mixtape below…then download Sonic Cathedrals Vol. LXVIII and let your trip begin!
Popol Vuh, probably more than any other band, has had a profound impact on the way I view music. There is an inherent power and otherworldly feeling within the music; a certain mystical presence that carries through the entire body of work. When I first started dwelling on what I should include on this mixtape, I had considered including a variety of different things, but in the end, I felt that compiling this small bit of Popol Vuh’s incredible catalog into a personally cohesive and easily digested volume would be much more meaningful. I hope that whoever listens to this, whether or not you are familiar with the band, will find the same essence of beauty and mystery that I have many times over.

If possible, it would be great to know which albums these tracks come from. Also, I guess you don’t split the tracks in the download?
