Review by Ryan Avery
Raw, unrelenting sludge that delivers a severe aural beating lasting just over 11-minutes, leaving a taste for violence in your mouth. Following up a sold-out cassette demo, Bottom Feeder (out of Copenhagen) deliver a primal dose of sludge that is reminiscent of Iron Monkey, Grief, and Buzzov-en. Not wasting one second, these degenerates dive right in and smother you with thick licks and blistering vocals while violently beating skins behind it all. These songs are barely enough to keep your teeth grinding and fists clenched but a killer debut EP from a band that is just beginning to creep out of the shadows of Europe’s sludge scene. Keep an eye out for more from them and be sure to check out their label, Raw Birth Records, for more malevolent releases akin to this one.
