What do these dates mean to you: June 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th, 2011? These are the dates that Austin becomes the center of everything Doom, Punk, Crust, Hardcore, Dis-Beat, Trash Metal, Post Punk & the attack of weirdos from around the universe. These are the dates of this year’s Chaos in Tejas!!! Many things make this fest so special – one thing is, the people behind it are the real deal. They may be responsible adults today, but in the early 80’s they were the outcast misfits, who grew up to put on super epic festivals for fellow outcasts to enjoy. Another thing about Chaos in Tejas is they know that all fringe music & subcultures are cut from from the same rebellious mindset, & you can see that in the bands they book. They prove that unity is best served with loads of beer, sunshine & killer music! This year’s lineup is just so off the chain it’s even hard to wrap my brain around it. Here are a couple of bands that will slaying shit this year: Killing Joke, Doom, Fucked Up, D-Clone, Acephalix, Trap Them, Orange Goblin, Youth of Today, Iron Lung – see what I mean? & this only a few.
