Yeah there is beauty in the world but it’s also a pretty fucked up place. In the late 80’s and early 90’s The Lower Eastside of New York was like the armpit of someone how had not showered in 666 years. Out of this chess pool came some really cool art on many different levels from street art, fine art and music. In the filth and grime of the LES rose a mostly female sludge band called -(13)-.They recorded a couple of splits with EYEHATEGOD plus some demos but they left a stain on underground music that will never come off. Personally i fucking dig this band so much when hear their songs i smell the stench of New York and think about my out of control nights running the LES.It’s been said that art can be the product of one environment and with -(13)- that is so fucking true. Dan Hasthrash from Kill that Cat was on hand at ABC NO Rio in 1994 to catch one of their mind melting sets. So after the jump let some dirt into your life and watch -(13)- kill shit!

“like the armpit of someone how had not showered” “Out of this chess pool” It should be “who had not showered” and “cesspool” do y’all not have editors?
