When did my obsession with the t-shirt start? I can’t even remember, maybe around 1977, but I do know that the early 80’s is when I started to want to represent my favorite bands on my tees. One type of t-shirt represents artistic expression on the next level, and that is the heavy metal long sleeve tee. When I see certain long sleeves, they almost remind me of modern armor for the heavy metal warrior. I’m amazed at the interesting sleeve placements bands come up with, and I dig the repetition. I think anthropologists will look back on the long sleeve metal tee and will be able to see where the kids heads were. Sometimes I like to get high and search for sick tees everywhere and anywhere. Today CVLT Nation would like to celebrate the serpent arms, aka long sleeve metal tees. After the jump, check out the gallery of straight metal glory, shout to T-shirt slayer!

I had the obituary pile of skulls long sleeve but my absolute favourite was my autopsy mental funeral shirt. Wish I still had it!

The Summoning Oath Bound longsleeve always catches my eye. Perhaps the most metal thing i’ve ever seen. They nailed it with that design. Put a smile on my face seeing a post about tshirt obsession

Dude, so many I want from above; namely the Death one’s the most. I think we have the same obsession; I have so many band shirts and long sleeves that its impossible to have them all in my draws at the same time, I have to let my washing pile stack up a bit before I bother washing any (for the room). My favourite long sleeve would have to be the DOWN – NOLA one I have or my INFEST – VYO. CVLT should do a peice on INFEST that would be awesome! There is a cool live set on youtube in two parts, quality’s good for the age.
