In the kingdom of drone, one band reigns supreme: Sunn O))). Since their first demo, this band has been melting eardrums and braincells. I have known people to travel long distances to experience one of their earth moving live rituals. In December, Southern Lord re-released their sophomore album ØØ Void on CD, and later this year they will be releasing the vinyl version. What I don’t understand is WHY they re-released it. Is it just an anniversary? A remaster?
