I have written before about how CRASS had an impact on my personal politics as a youth, but actually there were many other bands that helped shape my brainwaves, one of them being The Mob. In 1982, this band created their classic album Let the Tribe Increase, and everything about this piece is sonic history! That’s the thing: these bands spoke the truth 30 years ago, but the governments have just kept lying to the masses. There was something so special about the way that The Mob wrote their songs; they seemed like they were filled with the soul of the people who wrote them. What was also interesting was the way this band combined reggae and a positive punk vibe into what they created – check out their song “Youth”! I’m so happy they have decided to get back together and will be touring as well, and one of their stateside stops will be at Chaos In Tejas! Their first reunited show happened on the 8th of April this year, and CVLT Nation would like to share this awesome gig with you today. The Mob’s message is alive today, I say this because no doves fly here! After the jump, check this epic gig!
