It’s pretty awesome that music can act as a map for a person’s life, better yet a compass. Certain bands mean different things to me because of what I was going through when I first got into them. A Silver Mt. Zion is one of those groups; when I first heard them, it was like a rebirth for me, and from the very first note they blew my skull open. To me, they are a great example how opposites work well together – they don’t sound heavy in the normal sense, but they really are heavy. A Silver Mt. Zion’s lyrics are ultra dark at times, but the singing tones are fragile, which on some level we all are, so many that one thing that endears me to them! Also, in my weird mind, these humans make some of the raddest punk tunes in the non-traditional sort of way. So today CVLT Nation celebrates one of our favorite bands, A Silver Mt. Zion, with an epic video essay of some their killer live performances. After the jump, watch these stellar & moving humans rock your nation!
