All I wanted was some unreal Death Doom, and Victoria’s NOSTRUM new EP Painstaker has just given me my fix!!! Every moment of this project is sweet, decaying sonic agony to my morbid ears! I can’t believe how fucking awesome these three songs are, and I realized I want as many people as I can tell to know how fucking rad this band is! One major reason why I dig NOSTRUM so much is because their use of human agony to paint twisted portraits of torment. Musically, they know how to drag the listener into caves of despair before strangling them to death with murder-infested riffs! NOSTRUM’s Painstaker EP comes out via No One’s Ark on 4/20, plus they are starting their west coast tour with Samara on May 13th.
