Always Meant To Hurt You…
TRIAC
Review

Unholy shit, my mind just got stuck in a sonic blender called Triac…these A389 Recording artist new 7″ inch, Always Meant To Hurt You, is fucking audio napalm. Every song on this record is ballistic and will for sure ignite a fire under your ass. Listening to this band makes me realize if Fugazi reunited as speed freaks who played grindcore/powercore and wanted to destroy the world, then maybe it would be Triac. What they have created are 4 songs that clock in at just over 6 minutes, but will astound you every second you are listening. The reason being is that these humans can really play the fuck out of their instruments and will always keep you guessing with their atomic otherworldly changes. Triac has what I call the attack mode factor; that’s when a band goes straight for your throat with crazy amounts mayhem-fueled melody. It’s these off the hook breakdowns that will make you fall down to your knees to praise this band, and then their drumming will beat you into submission. It’s a trip, because the vocalist has this epic delivery, but at times it sounds like his voice morphs into feedback that eats away at your inner ear. When you put on the first song, “Grab Everything That Kills,” and this tune starts to roll over your will to live, you say to yourself, will this punishment ever end, and do I want it to? That’s why Triac is so sick, because they create audio torture builds your soul instead of destroying it!
