Under The Sign Of The D-Beat Mark…
DISHAMMER
Review

I have a dis-pain in my skull, and it is being caused by one of the raddest Dis-Beat bands from Spain, Dishammer. Unholy fuck, this band is so awesome, their 2010 EP, Under The Sign Of The D-Beat Mark, is off of the bloody meat rack! This band knows how to combine the power of if Discharge with the sleazy boogie of Motorhead, but in the process they have created their own sound. Every fucking song on the this record is black gold. Dishammer’s vocalist has a gnarly voice that just pulls you into his dark reality, where all of the women are topless and smoke hash for breakfast. Yeah, this band is fast as hell, but they get that way by always keeping a layer of rotten melody simmering underneath the surface of their tunes. Dishammer’s guitar work is so fucking on point, it seems like a mad scientist with the spirit of a crusty punk is playing those killer riffs. You know that this band means business, but at the same time, it just seems like they have a blast making music together. The drumming on Under The Sign Of The D-Beat Mark is primal to the max, and will have you head banging nonstop. Honestly, this band is beyond just d-beat, and I know for a fact that this is the kind of sound that will bring punks & metal heads together. As a musical body of work, Dishammer have created another motherfucking classic piece of sonic mayhem!
