RAVEN MOCKER‘s Livid Flame LP opens with some beautiful, melancholy church organs that invoke that holiday feel (aka when your parents forced you to go to church, but at least some of the music felt epic), but then the wall of riffs crashes into you like a funeral doom tsunami! It only took less than a minute for me to fall in love with the majestic sound of Raven Mocker. We’re super stoked to be streaming the EP in full for you today, so let these massive sounds surround you! You can pre-order a limited run of 100 cassettes from the Atrum Cultus store here or pick it up in its digital format – but I think this is best listened to analog, so you can feel the music as well as hear it. Whether this will be Raven Mocker’s only release is still unknown, but we hope this is just the beginning of something darkly beautiful…
