Roads To Judah, the breakthrough album from San Francisco’s Deafheaven is one of my top records of the year so far. The album has been the soundtrack to my life since February and I feel a special connection to the songs on that album. That being said, I relish any opportunity to see Deafheaven perform. I recently joined the band on a one-off show opening for Ringworm. The band played to a small yet enthusiastic audience at the 418 in Santa Cruz California. The venue looks like a gymnasium, and is located behind a restaurant. As always, I was there with my camera in an attempt to capture the controlled chaos that is Deafheaven Live.
