Deuil hails from Liege, Belgium, and they are no stranger to CVLT Nation. Technically, I deserve a late pass because this track was posted by the band in mid-August and I am now just getting to it. The first I heard this band was back with their Acceptance/Rebuild release of last year. They have obviously put more production love into this release, but the raw hostility is ever-present in this new track. The new track “Deny” starts off with the familiar drone-sludge riff and drums just crushing in typical Deuil fashion, then we are faced with a blasting wall of of intensity. I can’t get enough of this track, and I am looking forward to the release of the other side – I am sure the full spectrum of the release is going to be most excellent. But don’t take my word for it, take the 10+ minutes and listen to the track. Support this band.
