INJEKTING KHAOS s/t MLP
This is the swan song of one the greatest Greek black metal bands ever, featuring our original drummer, Nikos Megariotis – also doing vokills here. It is vicious yet eerie material, with a sound and personality of its own. Viral Graphics have properly brought the uncanny atmosphere into paper and it’s been released by Panos’ label, Blastbeat Mailmurder, in cooperation with Order Of Theta and Temple Of Flesh.
RUINED FAMILIES “Blank Language” LP
Ruined Families have transcended the dark hardcore of their debut MLP with an ambitious and challenging debut album. They now have a unique style of their own that’s hard to describe, blending different flavors of metal and hardcore, together with post-punk and no-wave.
CUT OFF “Sick Of This Life” MLP
This is the debut of Greece’s finest powerviolence/fastcore act featuring Nikos Prapas on drums (also from Progress Of Inhumanity, Vulnus), an old comrade of ours with whom we have recorded Straighthate’s “Indigenous” album. They have great, memorable tunes executed with class, precision and top-notch musicianship and production. The cover to MINOR THREAT’s “Filler” appropriately closes this gorgeous one-sided 12″.

GUTTER/DIRTY WOMBS Split LP
A great split showcasing two active local hardcore bands. DW are crusties packing epic melodies and a good production, but the real champs here are GUTTER. They play brilliant old-school hardcore in the early U.S.H.C. veins (think 7 Seconds, Minor Threat). They are unrelenting and have an impressive vocal delivery, courtesy of Stathis – the vocalist of Greece’s best hardcore band, ANTIMOB. What is even more impressive is that the man is as good singing in English as he is in Greek! All in all, this is a must-have vinyl.
STEREO ANIMAL “Neolithic“
This is a new band featuring veterans of Thessaloniki’s scene. It is a must for all those of us who miss 90’s metal and noise rock! Served by a massive production, “Neolithic” has memorable, irresistible tunes influenced by Godflesh, Killing Joke, Coroner, Helmet, Ministry, Prong… For the moment Stereo Animal are not well known outside of Greece, but you should definitely check them out!
NECROVOROUS “Promo 2013”
Another band featuring a drummer that you’ve worked with back in the Straighthate days. These two tracks have been recorded with a new line-up and are their stronger material to date. It’s dark, epic, old-school death metal. There are clearly touches of Finland (especially Demigod) and Sweden, but also Florida (think Brutality). Highly recommended and out on digital and cassette format!
