Stunning Photos of a Mexican Black Mass

©Ilse Huesca

Catemaco, Mexico, is already famous for being the home of brujos and mysticism, a special, powerful place where people come to seek a magical solution to their problems and ills, but these amazing photos of a black mass conducted on the first Friday of March may bring it notoriety in another way (don’t let Trump supporters see these!). Friday, March 4th is the Dia de Brujos, and the ritual captured by photographer Ilse Huesca was meant to mark the day with a convergence of negative and positive energies, as well as animal sacrifice. This particular ritual was prepared to cure infertility, and the seven chicken and one goat were there to absorb the diseases and then be killed, the blood flecked on the attendees. The closing of the portal was done with dance and a giant, flaming pentagram. Ilse Huesca’s images are like something out of a movie, and in fact, a high priest of the Satanist Church of Mexico commented on the original post (here) claiming that this was more for sensationalism than anything Satanist. Whatever the case may be, this looks like a powerful ritual and, come on, it’s metal as fuck!

It is real. People gettin evolved with dark forces. Evil. There’s white magic too, with contact with nature and nature rules. But here is only one side of the specter. If all of you name yourselfs as “satanists”, you already know that that kind of magic, and this kind of magic exists.

So, church of satan or Wicca rituals aren’t there. This is more connected with Santeria.

There is nothing “Satanic” about this whatsoever. First of all, Satanism is atheistic. There are no sacrifices nor are there any deities to sacrifice to. In fact, one of the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth, number ten, states “Do not kill non human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.” Therefore, these actions are decidedly un-Satanic, and as the article initially states is a part of something else, however, later the word “Satanism” is brought up anyway. There is a trove of free essays, excerpts from books, and more on the official Church of Satan website for those interested in the actuality of Satanism.

Hey twinkletoes, LaVeys Atheistic Satanism isn’t the only sect of Satanism out there.

    • Sean David Stoltenburg

      March 11, 2016 at 4:17 am

There are no sects of Satanism. Just Satanism. Using “LaVeyan” isn’t necessary and Pseudo-Satanism and Devil Worshipping do not qualify as a sects.

    • Klaus Hirnficker Wrhead

      March 11, 2016 at 4:38 am

There are no sects, but there are different currents in Satanism. And the “Church of Satan” has nothing to do with Satanism, it’s monetarized bullshit and explicitly bound to the catholic church.
There are sacrifices, too. 😉 Just not in your environment. Not every Satanist is from a first-world-country – and Devil Worship is the very essence of real satanism, and the atheistic, christian monetarized bullshit church lead by a fat, rich fuck is not the figurehead of “Satanism”.

My only reason for posting was so that someone who is misdirected or confused about Satanism, such as yourself, would have a link to further resources if they chose to educate themselves further on the matter. Your post beautifully illustrates why such a distinction needs to be made between Satanism and those who falsely take the name. Thank you.

Yes there are different types of satanists. And in my opinion atheistic satanism is a modern joke devoid of value appealing only to materialistic and philosophically vapid youths.

      March 11, 2016 at 11:19 am

Hey, dumb shit, stop spreading your misinformed bullcrap. LaVeyan Satanism is not greater or lesser than any of the forms of Satanism that predate it. Do your research, there is atheistic Satanism, such as the LaVey variety, and theistic Satanism.

There are many this and that i made this i made that and what i stand by and tell my followers that everything i make up within my mind is TRUE SATANISM lol come on you have already proved that your semi forcing your opinion of the man made neo judeo xion religion called satanism under the man named anton lavey who in the final moments of his life repented and went back to the same opposing religion that is xion.there are basic morals that is common sense that every human being should already know.most people will always be so naive and will believe anything which in reality all that is past present and future we already have known but too each their own.realeyes realize reallies

    • Sean David Stoltenburg

      March 11, 2016 at 11:27 am

You are certainly entitled to your opinion of Satanism and to hold whatever mystical beliefs you choose apart from it. Those beliefs, however, do not change the fact that Anton LaVey was the first person to define Satanism and then codify it as a religion.

I’ve heard about this quite a bit, but have never been able to find out if they at least kill the chickens and goats quickly and later eat them or have them eaten. If so, fine, but if not, then no, these people aren’t “metal as fuck”, they’re assholes who should be prosecuted.
