Destroy Judas‘ new album Wake is far beyond epic, it’s in own atmosphere of radness. If I had to call their music anything it would Apocalyptic Blues. Beware: when listening to this album you will begin to wander off into another plane of reality, where there is light in the darkness. The rhythms in their songs also do this crazy thing where they start connecting to the rhythm of your heartbeat. For some reason, the guitars on this album sound like storm clouds opening up above my soul. The vocals & lyrics on Wake are another vehicle that allows you to travel into the heart of this band. I also feel this sense of isolation that radiates from their songs, but at the same time the weathered hands of hope pick me up.
