Hi, what are you looking for?

Doom

RAD WORLD RAD BAND RAD CONTEST.

One of the most innovative and interesting bands currently in existence, they bridge the gap between metal, drone, noise, ambient, progressive rock, krautrock, and various other sorts of experimental music. The resultant musical textures are not only strangely rhythmic, but encompassing and expansive as well. There is something very special and very unique going on with each Locrian release.

One of 2010’s best albums was Locrian’s The Crystal World. It was released as a 2xCD on Utech Records, and on March 26th, will be released by Utech on vinyl. It will surely be one of the finer pieces of wax to come out in 2011.

To coincide with that release (which we are all very, very excited about), Hammer Smashed Sound, in conjunction with Utech Records and Land of Decay, is happy to announce this contest. The grand prize winner (of which there will be one) will receive an amazing package. It will consist of:

1 The Crystal World LP
1 The Crystal World 2xCD
1 The Crystal World Backpatch
1 Locrian “New Dominions” T-shirt
1 Territories CD
1 Drenched Lands CD
1 Greyfield Shrines LP
1 Rain of Ashes CD

Pictures of these items can be viewed at the Land of Decay Big Cartel store.

There will also be two runner-up prizes, which will include the CD and LP versions of The Crystal World.

To enter yourself into the contest, leave a comment stating what you like most about Locrian. Be sure to include your name in the comment if it is not already listed on your Blogger profile. Winners will be decided at random and announced in a new post after the contest is over.

The contest ends March 26, the day that The Crystal World is released on vinyl.
Massive thanks to Land of Decay, and Keith with Utech Records for this opportunity.

GO TO HAMMER SMASHED SOUND…what a rad site & what a rad band!
