Before MTV Totally Sucked Balls!
Punks And Poseurs 1985

MTV has pretty much sucked corporate balls since it started. That being said, from around 1985 to the mid 90’s, you just might find a couple of shows that were not pure visual vomit! When the Hardcore scene was fading away in L.A., the station decided to do show called MTV Punks And Poseurs (hate this title). When it came out, I thought it was pure trash, but now looking back at it I’m glad it was created. The biggest reason is for the live footage they captured of the Dickies and G.B.H (you can see how massive the Goldenvoice shows were). Press play below and see what MTV was about before The Real World! Thank you Gary Tovar!!!!

i completely remember watching this. It was a big deal for me as I lived in a small town and basically the only reason i watched MTV was for the occasional glimpses of something good.
