Poly Styrene was way more than just the singer of a punk band! She was example of a woman who lived in this world on her own terms. Poly Styrene captivated me from the first time I saw her on T.V. In 1979, the BBC created a very interesting documentary about her called Who Is Poly Styrene?. If any of my daughters looked up to her that would not be a problem at all.
