Slow Kill…Fields of the Nephilim 1987

To many, Fields of the Nephilim were looked at as being the little brothers of Sisters Of Mercy, but in all honesty this band created some kick ass songs. Check this rad full set of them performing in London 11/21/1987 – from this performance you can see that this band had serious fans!

A lot of their material isn’t even that comparable. Their vocals had some similarities, and they both used chorus-effects on their guitars, but they’re very different “beasts” in my opinion.

Discovered this band in the late 80’s, huge influence, still unique, still relevant

Interesting story. The band got stopped coming into the US because of the bags of “white powder” they were bringing in. Turned out to be what they put on themselves before the show to appear dusty.

I love the Sisters, too, but these guys are/were on a completely different level!

It is my understanding that the band was banned from ever playing the Town & Country Club ever again after this gig.

I bought the VHS, then the DVD. Glad to see that someone posted it on the ‘tube.
