The 2011 Scion Rest was an epic gathering of the Metal & Crusty tribes. The music was off the chain, but the word of the day should have been unity. Everyone was unified under the banner Metal Rules! Way too many awesome bands to chose from. So we focused on two tents where most of the bands we wanted to see killed shit!
First up was Dark Castle who wrecked shop with their two-piece doom-laden set.
Stevie & Rob craft some very interesting music & live it only got better!

There was time to blaze one before Cough came on stage and blew my insides
out with their low-end! These dudes play doom & sludge the way I love it, with a slight tinge of blues and a heavy dose of rad killer riffs. The tent filled up & everyone were banging their troubles away. For some reason most of my photos that day were of Cough so enjoy.

The Body came on stage, then showed & proved why people call them heavy! In my books I would say they happen to more than heavy. The Body are sonicly obese in their own right. I really dig their new album, but live they take you to other plane.

By this time I was ready for some heavy breathing. So we made our way over to see Black Breath…these dudes caused sonic mayhem. Really they were fucking way more than amazing. Black Breath were super tight & their stage presence was off the hook!
