Christian Hosoi is one of the best skaters to ever step on a board. He was my generation’s Tony Alva, but he took skate boarding to even newer heights. Today CVLT Nation wants to celebrate a true OG with a video essay that looks at Christian doing his thing in the 80’s when he was at the top of his game. My personal memory of him was watching him skate my homie Aum’s (R.I.P.) backyard quarter pipe. The whole time, my mouth was wide open in amazement, as the ramp moved at least two feet every time Christian did an air!…Skateboarding would have never been the same if this stylish dude never did his thing!
