ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE…VINTAGE HARDCORE FLYERS

We all live life, but when do we know we are not only living life but making history, or being a part of a historical movement? I did not know in the early 80’s in SoCal that me & all of my hardcore punk friends were a part of punk rock history, but we were! Going to see Black Flag, Social Distortion, Sin 34, Dr.Know, T.S.O.L , Husker Du at our neighborhood joints; these were the bands that we went see on our weekend rage. How did we know who was playing at the next gig & where the next rad gig was? FLYERS. I guess you could say they were our version of texting. What made a sick flyer was the art – many of them were drawn by artist who would go on to have epic art careers like Pushead, Marc Rude, Ric Clayton & Shawn Kerri. These pieces of paper documented a time & place that was historic to many humans all around the world. So after the jump check out gnarly vintage SoCal hardcore flyers!

This was one of my raddest New Years Eve’s ever…

I was 14 yrs old & ready to take on the world!

SUPER RAD SUPER GNARLY SHOW!!!
